Carrie’s Toy Library at Ealing Anchor Foundation, has finally arrived and is now open Tues & Fri morning and Tues afternoon during term time for Parents and carers to visit at Windmill Children’s Centre. You can book a visit to our Toy Library session here. Or you can choose one of the dates on the right.
The full range of toys can be seen in our online toy library – available to signed up members only. Membership gives you your own login account where you can browse and reserve toys for collection and drop off at Windmill Children’s Centre.
The library was named after long time Trustee and Treasurer Carrie O’Donnell who was with charity for nearly 40 years! Carrie passed away in January 2019 and after her many years of dedication to the charity in looking after its accounts and her many hours of fundraising, we thought it only fitting to name our new Toy Library in her memory.
Carrie’s Toy Library has many specialist toys to aid children’s developmental skills and increase their social interaction with the usual favourites, such as bubble lamps and light projectors as well as puzzles and fidget toys.
All Carrie’s toys are thoroughly cleaned in line with Covid safety guidelines and all returned toys go into quarantine for 3 days once returned.
Loaned toys have a “buffer” of 7 days in between, so toys are not loaned out as soon as they are returned. We are currently adding to stock as this is a fairly new service.
We are also running Toy Library Play sessions every Tues & Friday morning at Windmill Children’s Centre from 10:30am-12:15pm and every Tues from 1pm to 2:15 pm. You can book a session by selecting it on the right hand side.
Collections and drop off of toys are during the morning and afternoon play sessions.
