Sing, Sign & Play meet every two weeks during term time on a Tuesday morning at the Play & Support Sessions and activities include Makaton signing, singing and bucket time with helpful tips for encouraging speech plus a helpful question & answer time at the end of each session for Parent Carers to discuss any concerns.
Sessions are run by Rosie, our Speech & Language Therapist and Ella, our Music Therapist where they offer an environment in which everyone can feel relaxed and welcomed.
As the title suggests, children have a regular opportunity to practice their developing social skills in a safe, familiar setting and Parent Carers can come together for support and friendship from like-minded people who are going through similar experiences.
There are several reasons to join:
- Helps your child develop and learn important social skills,
- Gives children and adults a chance to connect with others and socialise.
- Improves health & well-being for families
- It’s an opportunity for parent carers to share their knowledge and learning.
- Eases the transition into school or nursery
